I have to admit i'm not one for anything built in the Pacific rim, but this is the ONLY Asian bike I would ever own. I would have to ditch the Dura ace....

When I told my wife I may bid on it, this is the reaction I got.

Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

I'd ditch the stem before the DA stuff..
DA7400 would be great on that bike, IMO.

Bikes: 81 Ross T.K., 89 Merlin mtn.

Nice bike, but repainted, shifter bosses replaced, mismatched components and a $2500 starting bid? I know large frame 3renshos are hard to find, but that's a lot (IMO).

I would only want the frame set. The starting bid is way too much.

+1 You get the bike and she gets her fancy ionized water facial. Everyone's happy; it's a beautiful thing.

Bikes: Yes

Beautiful bike and on my grail list, but $2500 can buy a lot of bike (especially if that's just spent on a frame).

Curious if you're aware of makers like Cherubim, Toei, Alps, Ebisu or Zunow.

Guess this wheel-less one isn't such a bad price after all.

LOL. The one at the link is A656. The purple 3Rensho I owned was A658 IIRC. Someone on the forum has my old frame.

Sure, but I didn't figure you were really into track bikes. So, you wouldn't consider owning one of those marques? Pretty top shelf in my book!

What, you didn't know that Shimano was founded in 1971 by Carlos Shimano? With their company headquarters in Baja, California, their top quality Durace (pronounced "Doo-rah-chay") parts group, they represent the best in American cycling technology.

This has been listed and re-listed for nearly a year now.

There is this horribly neglected one in Sacremento that might make a good project but the seller seems to have an unrealistic price in mind, he started at $900 and it now is listed at $400. If it were my size, I would offer him $100, he obviously pulled it out of a scrap pile so it is all profit to him...
