Help with frame era/identity
Hi Guys/girls. I just built a bike but stupidly I didn't take down the id codes from the frame before the re spray (this is my first build). All i have to go on is the Raleigh stamp on the rear seat stays and the through top tube cabling. Just wondering if anyone could possible help me. Here are some pics (please ignore the work ones haha)
Cheers

hahaha well if you need any work done. Thanks a lot. Yeah i really like the colour. As is my first bike I just went for what I like and what was affordable, slowly adding, changing little bits. Next one I will probably refurbish one to its original, or close to. But loving this one. Thanks anyway.

handsome! a fine job. i painted several frames this colour also. in my case i used a mercedes benz colour called caledonia green. put in on a sixties era olmo tipo rondine in one case.
iirc the business of stamping the raleigh name into the seatstay cap began right about 1980. i can recall seeing it on some raleigh of america made in japan bikes around this time. the forum's raleigh experts will of course know better/more.
it might help readers to give you more information about the frame if you could post some detail closeups of it.

The presence of dual bottle bosses and internal brake cable routing would typically push it into the late 1980s. However, given these features I'm surprised to see it using a clamp style front derailleur and not appearing to have a pump peg. That's thick paint!
