Show us your vintage Time Trial / Funny Bike!!!!
I've always loved how these look, from the curved frames, 650 front and 700 rear, disc wheels and interesting mods done to the frames. I rarely see people post ones on BF so if you have one please share!!!
Here are some examples for those of you that don't know what they are:

Outstanding bikes, Gary. Is/was TT'ing the main form of racing in Australia? The number of outstanding TT riders from Down Under in the past years suggests so.

I've had two, still have the second one. The first was too small.
Pinarello are also sized by seat tube length. Should get you in the ball park. Depending on the bars & stem you run, you can have a cruiser or a serious TT assault machine. I did 70 miles on mine, including a 2000' climb, once. Climbing in the drops is pretty rough.... I'd also have a collection of them, if funds weren't an issue. I don't ride mine much, these days. I do love to marvel at it, though...

Something you may be interested in - I did come across an ALAN track pursuit frame about 20 years ago. It was reasonably priced too but I just couldn't get the money together at the time. I still kick myself for not getting it. I've never seen another one.

Do you really want us to go there?
Simple, you guess. Actually, I'm not sure. This is a 53cm, not sure you can assign a size, but it fits very well. According to a couple of builders, these are fit the same as a track bike, with the base bars in roughly the same position as your road bike drops would be, but lower in almost every case. In this case, the reach is achieved with the bar design, and the drops are about 1" lower than my normal road position. Brake levers are now bar enders.
For practicing, I use handbuilt wheels, tricolor hubs laced to CXP-33's (by Otto Rax).
For racing when I get the nerve, tricolor hubs laced to the HED's.

One cheap ---- one not so cheap
Old pic of a Nishiki Linear --- I had it converted to a fixed gear long before "fixies" were cool -- to replicate a pursuit position for training on the roads in front of my house , and the occasional short distance club time trial (anything over 10 miles and you would needa chiropractor)
---- as happens to a lot of old race bikes, the original Shimano 600 (pre tri-color) groupset is long gone
As I complained about in the old Cannondale thread, I went looking for a parts bike to rob a group off of to "restore" this bike , but the bike was too nice, --- so my Linear is still sitting and waiting
Bottom pic - 3Rensho track bike --- currently resides in my velo-attic until I get my home gym finished, where it will be displayed. (although it would turn some heads down at the Superdrome with a super long Technomic stem, so I could reach the bars ! -- LOL )

That would be in the bike of my truck in a heartbeat, were I in the LA area (or anywhere close) -- hell, he'd probably ship it for an extra hunskie

Death fork? Naaaah!!
This Aero Miyata TT frameset hung on the wall of the barn for several years before I accepted the fact that I I was never going to be able to build it up as it deserved and sent it West:

BTW, you can ride that bike if I can ride this one. Actually, it was barely rideable except on the flats, then it would rip.
And then, there was this one. Both had 24" front wheels.

Wish I had a later pic of mine...
A custom built Medici Sandpiper (Piovanello?) Aerodynamic.
700C wheels at both ends on this bike, but the angled down top tube, I think, qualifies it as a "funny bike"
This is proving to be a very slow resto/build as I want to get things on it as correct as possible, but I finally found the right 3TTT flat bullhorn bar for it at the recent SF swap meet.
Not in the picture too is the 3TTT Medici pantographed stem, Miche aero seatpost, Mavic chain I already have for the bike and the Selle Italia Daytona Saddle I intend to use on it. I think I'm only a headset and cables away from getting the components collection completed, but the big step of having the bike professionally repainted/rechromed properly will be quite a big mountain for me to get over financially at this time....

Here's my Kenevans Profile. As with Gary Fountain's one, it is also Geelong built. I bought it as a frame and fork, so dunno what the original group was, which makes it a bit harder to date. But I am guessing mid 80s.
in regards to the question on how lo pro frames are sized, I went with top tube length. This frame is 58cm c-c seat tube, and a 56cm c-c top tube(measured the tube itself), and I guess the effective top is a bit shorter than that, maybe a cm or two. My perfect size would be a 55cm, so the top tube length was correct, and I'd just have less seat post sticking out. Mine has both 700c wheels, so the front end isn't any lower than my other bikes. The bars are about halfway between the tops and drops of the bars. I haven't gone for an extensive ride yet since I only finished it the other day, but I reckon it won't be much different to the road frames.

I believe that my Polchlopek is a time-trial bike, but from a time and place when/where a normal road bar and equal-size wheels were called for. Level top tube, too, but the crankset has radically-oval 48-54t rings and 180mm arms, so the rider must do their training with this setup.
Thanks to a forum member, I got an appropriately-longer seatpost that's been added since this picture was taken. This picture taken after I installed a larger 24t freewheel.
So many aero parts and features on this bike, back in 1984! I bought this on Ebay with a winning bid of $650.
