China
Recently spent some time in China. Rode atop the city wall of Xi'an where they had an interesting display of the evolution of the bike.

Still learning
Your supposed to look at the Terracotta Warriors exhibit there, not bikes!

Neat bicycles and, for what it is worth, I recently acquired my first ever bicycle from China - a brand new Trek Crossrip and ride it frequently up and down the country roads that surround and lead to/from my cottage on the shores of Loon Lake...

Great shots. I especially like that last one. So iconic of China. I really should get to Xian. Have never been but have a standing invitation to take the "Bill Clinton" tour if we get there. That is, down in the trenches with the warriors!
What were your impressions of the place, Dedhed?

In my 20+ business trips to several of the provinces I think the only clean/lubed chains I saw were in the Giant showrooms. The entire country seemed to embrace "run to failure".

Visited Bejing, Xi'an, Nanjing, Suzhou, Shanghai. Very interesting country, saw so much beauty, yet also much "third world". I was only in big cities which I'm not particularly fond of with masses and terrible traffic. Could I live there? No. Would I go back again? In a heartbeat. There is just so much history and culture to be seen and absorbed. Much redevelopment also, tear down and build new. The tower cranes are everywhere.
