Fuji Del Rey

Got this the other day. For free. Mostly all original good shape , nothing stuck, just needs tires and chain. Still deciding on what to do with this Asian invader .

Bikes: Lots of English 3-speeds, a couple of old road bikes, 3 mountain bikes, 1 hybrid, and a couple of mash-ups

For free? What planet gives a bike like that for free?

This one must have been stored inland in a garage. I'll give you $20 and pay for shipping.

Sheldon Brown said the Del Rey was an excellent sports touring bike. I agree! They vary year to year but yours looks like one of the good ones.

It wont take much re-habbing. Clean and grease.

You'll find it very easy .. compared to what I've gone thru with French bikes.

Agreed.

I always liked working on Fujis.

I happen to think they were very solid in their construction.

Even the inexpensive models rode nicely.

That's a great looking Fuji. I agree, even the lower end Fujis ride extremely nice, and are very pretty! Great score!

I wouldn't give it to him for free! If it costs him something, he'll probably appreciate it more! :-)

He's paying for all the parts and is helping to clean all the parts. If it was a 60cm I would keep it a while, in another room so as not to make the Euro/ American Bikes mad....

I like working on them better than riding them, but your daughter's boyfriend will definitely enjoy it.
