Out of the shop and on the road
Finally got this '69 Raleigh DL1 out of the shop. It was rough cosmetically but had no major rust and was little used. The biggest job was straightening and painting the tin. The paint on the frame rubbed out nicely and the chrome also cleaned up nicely with the exception of the ds crank. Mostly original; inner tubes, rear reflector, chain, some paint and a couple decals are new. Nice riding bike.

Thanks and yes, minimum insertion, I couldn't get another 1/8 inch out of it.
They are very nice riding bikes. I found a '75 step through in the spring and my wife won't ride anything else. Now we have a matched pair and I will have to step up my game to keep up with her.
The cat was picked up from behind the local equipment rental place. As useless as his is he is still more useful than their crapped out equipment. Orange cats are great.

Very classy! It seems to be begging for a bottle generator and some lights.
