It's an '83 600, but in that incarnation was sporting an NR/ Stronglight drivetrain. Currently undergoing a transformation to be more like a 620 with a Suntour group / triple and bar-ends.

How did you apply the two tone bar tape? I really like that look....

That really looks great.

How much tire could I fit on one with fenders installed?

Please let me know if you see another one in a 58cm top tube.

Dang that looks cool.

There's plenty of Chicago area folks here, if any would volunteer to pick that up for Flog...

This one looks quite nice as well.

I bet it's a very comfortable ride for you.

I sure hope my daughter has a great trip to France ;)

Still looking for that immaculate 83 Trek 600, 620 or 630 in 21" size, color pewter with light blue panels.... you'd think selling my collection of old bikes for my daughter that one would fall out of the sky! Hahahaha

Take 2 Miyata's, drink a lot of fluids and get plenty of rest. Everything will be OK!

Or take 1 colnago/de rosa/pinarello with c-record/super record and you'll forget what a trek is....

Yeah, there will always be more bikes to buy.
We have been buying and selling bikes for a while now and I just had to sell some of my stuff to get her there. No real heavy attachment to the bikes.
I'm excited Sarah will have the opportunity to visit France. She is in her third year of French and is going with some friends.
Sarah also bought her first car with bike flipping money. I'm a lucky Dad.

Tough to know for sure. Here's a photo of it with 1 and 1/8 paselas on the 27's. I would have preferred the 1 and 1/4's, but had the 1 and 1/8's left over from a different project that changed direction.

I think if I went to 700c and long reach brakes that I'd be able to get at least a 700x32 on my frame with a set of perfectly fitting fenders. Best bet, in your case, I think, would be do find the canti version of their 600 series 531 frame. Some of the years don't have the excessively long stays with the cant's, but I can't remember what years off the top of my head. The catalogs are good reading, and if you're seriously contemplating it you've probably read them already. :)

I like it. I'm simply not a drop bars fan and I like the more neutral colors better with that paint than the bright blue.

I actually looked at this bike around Christmas time as a possible gift for a friend. It's in good shape and the seller is a good guy.
