Mystery Bike
I don't have a pic yet, but I am getting a custom built bike (from the 80's I believe, though I really don't know) apparently made by a former pro cyclist by the last name Quick, possibly from California. Does this ring a bell? Really, this post may be premature, as I don't have more information to go on, but thought I'd see if anyone here had heard of these bikes and could give me a little more information. I'm getting it for free in the Spring, when my father-in-law next comes though town. He got it from his neighbor who used it for numerous long-distance tours. it sounds like it was this man's baby, but I don't know anything about a frame builder names Quick. Please let me know if you have heard of such a bike. I'll post a pic when I have one.

Pics of the TJ Quick!
It is a TJ Quick, with Reyonold 531 tubing, sun tour cyclone Mk1, matching anodized rims and pedals, and set up for touring. Awesome bike!!!

^Judging bike the saddle height, perhaps not tall enough for this bike. Pics are pretty small, but it does look like a nice bike. +1 to changing the bars. I dig the fork crown.
