My winter project: Progress

Lte last year I bought a 74 Raleigh Professional frame that had decent chrome but bad paint. Today I got it back from the media blaster all nice and clean and got some primer on it right away. Ive been struggling with the paint decision after being convinced to avoid powder coating it. The fact is I just do not like the original colors; light blue (mink) and silver. I found an automotive paint shop that will mix any color I want so I have decided on a slightly darker metalic blue and instead of silver for the head and seat tube, I will use white. Velocals will provide white letters too. This will also give me a little latitude in selecting components (someone please discourage me from using a Huret Jubilee). I have a TTT stem and bars and a pair of record brake calipers that I resurected (rust spots on the steel parts and patina on the aluminum parts.) Since I am not going back to sew-ups, any rim/tire combo I choose will not be original. I can use pretty much any 120mm 36 hole set I can find. The big decision: Brooks or Unicanitor!
