A Trip From The LBS aka Selfie Santa
Excited! Just returned from the LBS with a pannier full of goodies.
My new, special order, Silica Super Pista floor pump. I sincerely hope this will be the last floor pump I ever buy. As I get older, the odds of that being right improve. Hey, I'm a glass half full kinda guy. And it is jet fokkin' black.
Tires. I wanted them to special order some Ritchey Z-Max WCS 2.1" XC tires. This is for my Bridgestone MB-Zip which I'm returning to dirt duty. Boo, QBP doesn't carry those tires. Boo, my LBS isn't a Ritchey dealer. Hmm, maybe they have some old stock in the basement. Beer in hand, I go down there. They unearth two NOS Ritchey Z-Max WCS Kevlar tires. These are exactly what would have been on the bike when I bought it new. Still supple, still soft - sold!
Tubes. This is a little thing, but in this alien age of indecently long valve stems, like porn star rods towering above my shy box section rims, a shelf with tubes of every size, all available with properly proportioned 33 mm valve stems, is like coming home. The short stem looks, familiar, you know? After all, she always tells me size doesn't matter.

If you post pics of your indecently long valve stems penetrating through those shy box sections, does that qualify as hard-core bike porn?
Beware the moderators, my friend. They can be somewhat puritanical when they get a head about them.

You know you could sell those tires for $100 a pop right? Do they have anymore? I would gladly buy them if you could facilitate. Please post photos.

He only had the two that were NOS.
I was hoping for some NOS Onza Porcupines, but no such luck. There were some, but on display bikes.
How are the tires I got different from the current Z-Max? I mean, new ones are about $50-60 each. Now I'm going to feel funny about riding them.
