Bikes: 1976 Schwinn Superior

A newby and need help

Thanks for allowing me to join your group. I am not so much interested in bike clubs but am looking for help.
I inherited a black Schwinn Superior bicycle, serial no. MH023194 that looks virtually new with one exception. The pedal and crank assembly is missing and the tires are cracked and flat. I have no idea why these parts are not on the bike but I do know that it is in great original condition.

The only thing I do know about the bike is that my Aunt bought it new in the '70s. I don't remember what year though.

I would like to get this Schwinn 10 speed bike in good condtion and was wondering if the parts that are missing are going to be easy to find.
