A Twenty in the boot!
I just got back with a new 1972 Raleigh Twenty (In remarkable shape). Now when I travel with the 1952 Morris Minor MM I'll have a bike to get around on.

So now when the "Prince of Darkness" syndrome hits you'll still be able to get home. Great car owned a 50 conv with a 4 cy flat head and thermo-siphon. Added an exterior water pump and all was well ....... for a while.

The MM Morris Minor has an the interesting distinction of being the first car manufactured that needed to be modified for sale in this country. The original design was a low lamp fender that wouldn't pass USDOT for headlight height. So BMC had to redesign it with the fenders seen in this country. They were great cars and the main reason VW is what it is today. I had a 1950 with a split windscreen and trafficators. I wished it was a low lamp. Ok back to the bike thing.

The MM is in un-restored condition. I've owned it since 1983 and it's driven often.
And it leaks more than the bike and I have NEVER had an electrical problem with the electrics (I have a large can of dielectric grease)
Thanks for the kind words
Marc

I'm a fan of British cars. I've owned 5 Jaguars and have to say they were the finest cars I'd ever owned up to that point. No electrical problems and only minor mechanicals, all of which I could fix at home. The worst one was a 2002 X-Type, which is practically a ford anyway. Good riddance to that one. I learned to drive in an Austin-Healy 3000.
