Second post, and another project. What do I have here?
So a neighbor stopped by while walking and asked if I was interested in an old bike he was about to toss out.
I've learned at this point to say "maybe, can I look at it first?" instead of "sure!".
In this case, curiosity won out over my better judgement.
It's from the late 80's - early 90's, but is a brand / model I've never heard of - an Offroad Climber

It has Suntour XCD shifters, derailleurs, hubs, and I'm assuming freewheel. Dia-Compe 183 levers and Dia-Compe cantilever brakes.
Not sure of what the cranks are - I'm guessing Sugino or Suntour:

The frame is Tange Infinity double-butted CrMo and the seat tube is ovalized where it meets the bottom bracket.
The wheels are 700c Alesa rims that look to be about the same width as road bikes of that vintage. One wheel still had what looked like a cyclocross tire mounted, it said 700X37 on the sidewall, but it looked a LOT narrower than 37mm.
Is this a CX bike, an attempt at a hybrid, or did this company have a stack of touring frames left over and attempt to cash in on the MTB craze?

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.
This cool ***** just kinda falls in your lap, doesn't it?
(Although, it's a bit small for you if the Centurion you posted earlier actually fits.) I have no idea what it it is, but doesn't look like junk to me. More and better photos would be good.

Sometimes. Usually it's a Next/Magna/Pacific/Walmart Mongoose.
Yeah, definitely too small for me, but it might fit my son later this year or next year. He's almost 13. I would've lowered the seatpost for him if the binder bolt wasn't totally stripped out.
Better pics today or tomorrow...
