Tubing-Type I.D.

I have an F. H. Grubb frame and I am trying to determine if it is made of Reynolds or A&P tubing. Hilary Stone dates the frame at mid-fifties. I looked inside the seat tube and there is a seam running on the front of the tube, if that's any help. The weight of the frame w/ fork and Brampton headset is 7 lbs.
Seat tube is 54cm c-c, top tube is 57cm, c-c.
On the left side of the steerer tube, running vertically, are the frame number 16324, and a four digit number under it, 4750. Also, there is a tiny emblem on the back of the fork, just above the crown, but I am unable to make it out. There are no other, discernible markings on the steerer tube.
