Bianchi Peregrine Garage Sale Find
I found this Bianchi Peregrine at a garage sale today. Usually I don't pay too much attention to mountain bikes when I drive by garage sales but this one caught my eye so I stopped. I believe it is a '92 based on derailleur date codes. It is full Shimano Deore DX. I haven't done anything to it except remove the computer and gave it a bath. It is in very nice condition. It is too small for me so unless I can find someone in the family that wants it I will be selling it. It set me back $40.

I've never spotted a Bianchi at a garage sale. Nice catch.

A nice find! And my size too.
I've not seen one of these in rigid fork config, mostly later suspension fork ones. I like the decal graphics of this model better than later years.

Hi RJ,
Do you still have this Bianchi Peregrine? I am very interested in buying it. I used to have one very similar to the one in your pictures but mine was the Celeste color. I built a second set of road wheels for mine with Specialized Fat Boy tires and road gearing. I found that off-road, the lack of any suspension was a major hinderance. By the time I got around to trying to find a threaded suspension fork that would work on it they had all been discontinued. It became strictly a town bike for me. I eventually sold it as I bought a real road bike (Specialized Roubaix Comp) and a full suspension mountain bike (Specialized S-Works Enduro). I've been kicking myself in the butt for ever selling the Peregrine as I had bought it new (at Slough's in San Jose) and had a ton of great memories on it. I've been looking to buy another ever since. Please let me know.
Thanks,
RealCobraRGuy

And mine's not for sale, I love it!
I suggest setting up Craigslist and Ebay searches and checking weekly. You can also use Google Alerts, and have the searches run automatically for you.
