Campagnolo 1974 Nuovo Record BB and Crankset Removal
Hi,
I wish to remove Campagnolo Nuovo Record BB and Crankset that are on 1974 Raleigh International. I have only owned Shimano square tapered sealed cartridge BBs and this is the first time to use an older BB. I believe I can use the same Park crankpuller, right?? What is the best tool to remove a Nuovo Record BB? I will be getting the bike in a few weeks and want the proper tools to work on it
Thanks in advance.

Yes, Shimano uses the same 22mm puller as Campagnolo. The Park bottom bracket wrenches will also work to remove the lockring and cups should that be necessary.

i use the park spa-1 on the adjustable cup and the park hcw-5 for the lock ring.
the all-in-one park puller didn't work well for me, so i use the 'snap-on/wrench force' puller with an adjustable wrench.

Would the curved end of this Shimano Dura Ace - chain whip remove the lock ring? It is made to remove the lock ring on track cog. I have one in my tool box.

It might work. Just check that the curve is the proper arc for a nice fit on the ring, and that the tooth on the tool seats nicely in the notch on the ring. And careful not to slip. Easy to bugger up those notches on those lock rings.
