how old is my Bianchi?

Could someone help me to determine the age of my newly acquired Bianchi cambione d'ltalia? I purchased through an online auction and it said that this bike is a 12 speed. I'm not sure, I haven't even picked up the bike yet.. any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forums. Nice Bianchi, it is a 1987. That Formula Two tubing gives a great ride, my '88 Trofeo with that tubing is seeing a lot of miles this year.

When you or the shop is overhauling or tuning this up be careful when removing those Ofmega cranks. They can be on pretty tight and require a little extra care in removing, I wasn't and stripped the threads on mine. I also highly recommend getting rid of those 30yo break blocks and putting in some of these Kool Stop blocks. Kool Stop International - High Performance Bicycle Brake Pads Since 1977

Oh ditch the bracket for the baby seat and get a proper binder bolt for the seatpost.
