another bianchi identification
hello, everyone. i've been a lurker for some time now and have loved reading all of the posts on, especially, among many others, the various bianchi identification threads. as many as i've read, i'm still confused about this bike i just managed to scrounge up. after my 2007 bianchi was stolen this summer, i began scouring the used sites for vintage bikes. i finally managed to score the following and am interested in thoughts about the year it was made. what i know is:
pink Bianchi with Campione d'italia on the top tube.
On the down tube, there's the 1986/7 campione del mondo sticker
the forks have a foderi forcella bianchi forumal columbus sticker and the seat tube has a sticker with tre tubi, forumal two on it
it has a made in Italy sticker and all of the components are 105s
Numbers on the bb: 25163 and L.6
see attached pics.

any thoughts?
many thanks!
cheers,
Patrick

Hi Patrick are you in England? That might explain the color.
We didn't have that Electric Rose color in the US in ;87 but judging from the script CdI decal and the square world champ decal I would say your frame is an '87 Campione de italia. These, again in the US generally came with a nice mix of Italian parts, Ofmega cranks, Modolo brakes and a Suntour derailleur set. I would suspect someone added the 105 group at a later date. I believe that 105 group was introduced in '90.
Great looking Bianchi I love that color.

Ah the great white north. That would explain the color but that group certainly post dates the frame by a few years.
