What Bianchi is it?

Hello, I'm David.

I have this frame, I'm not even sure this is a real Bianchi. Can anyone help me to identify it? It has Gipiemme dropouts.

Are there two forks or did you strip the paint off of it? Did you paint it? It does look like a Bianchi judging by the BB shell stamping and the B on the downtube lug.

The cables under the toptube do not look like Bianchi so someone moved them. The reinforcing on the brake dridge reminds me of an earlier '80s bike, is it set up for nutted or recessed brakes? But the pump peg says post '86ish. Is there anything on the fork crown or seatstay caps?

There are two forks. Since the original one is hardly damaged I was thinking on using the other one.

Someone put the cables under the toptube, the original place was marked.

The brake bridge is set up for recessed brakes, nor the fork crown or the seatstay have any sign.

Thank you so much.

Hardly damaged? You're saying the original fork has slight damage?

I am thinking that is one of the many Formula 2 tubed frames from the later '80s, but someone obviously moved the cables guides and modified the brake bridge.

Looks like a Bianchi "Touring" model of the late eighties or early 90s. Cable guides mounted under the top tube were fairly typical on that model, especially on ones made for the Italian market. Bici uomo Bianchi Euro 70 - Annunci Torino

According to the catalog, tubing was "double butted Bianchi Hi-Tensile" with "Mangalloy" fork and 27" wheels. That makes it one step above the most basic model.
