Campy oil hole covers

I have Nuovo Record hubs and need a couple oil hole covers. Does anyone know where I might find these?

I read this as "I have a bunch of them". Looking at this reply now it looks like there was supposed to be a picture included. In any case I am still looking for oil hole covers. I've searched everywhere I can think of, including those places mentioned above. HELP

I'm absolutely sure he meant he has a bunch of them and that he's offering some to you for free or a very reasonable price. All you have to do is take up his offer.

If you gotta have them now, take a piece of black electrical tape, cut it to match the originals and stick it on the hubs. It will be functional and barely noticible from five feet away until you find originals which may be never unless you want to spend some $$$$$ on a little useless but cosmetic spring clip.

noglider - I have responded in the only way I know how. So, how do I take up his offer?

Send him a private message or an email, if possible.

Was he offering some up? Or just mentioning he had a lot? One way to find out I guess.

These little buggers are easy to lose. Last one I removed flew across the shop. Took off like a rocket. Took me an hour to find it.

Heresy. No vintage Campy part from the Golden Age of Cycling is useless.

Take Old Yeller behind the shed and shoot him!

Stop! Don't shoot! I stand corrected, they are very useful by keeping oil/grease from leaking out of the Campy hub causing hub to spontaneously explode.

I don't remove them. If I need to access the oil port, I just slide the clip out of the way but leave it on the hub barrel.

Yeah. I only do it if necessary. Like when polishing a hub that needs it, etc.

Yeah, that's the only time I remove mine also. I could use a couple of spares

Under what circumstances do you ever need to access the oil port?
