Greetings, I am looking at a vintage Bottecchia and the seller says it is 1980 year of productrion... It has Campa shifters and derraleurs, favorit brakes and MAvic wheels...


Can anyone confirm year of production? What is the range of this bicycle? It is not an entry level, I guess...

More and better pics would help, but given what appears to be here: TT cable guides and shifter bosses yet over-top-BB cable routing and the skinny seat stays and clamp-on FD I think it might be around 1980 but could also be just a little earlier, maybe late '70s. Hard to read the dropouts but they might be GPM and the RD looks like a cheaper model Campy, like a 980, so this MAY be a little more of a mid-grade frame. and the Campy 980 supposedly debuted in 1980, so...
