San Diego Velodrome swap meet - 11/2/2014
The San Diego Velodrome bi-annual swap meet is happening this Sunday 11/2:
Swap Meet » San Diego Velodrome Association
I'll probably be there, maybe selling things since I'm currently doing some serious downsizing for a cross-country move.
Anybody going? Buying? Selling?

You never know, it might be like learning a second language, better to get 'em started early
If anyone does show up, feel free to drop by and say hello, I'll be the one hauling stuff in with the '85 Rockhopper + trailer:

Where is this? The website doesn't actually mention a location.

The vendors set up right on the infield of the velodrome. The track is in the Morley Field area of Balboa Park. They have an address and a map tucked away at the bottom of this page:

If you live in the area and haven't been to the velodrome before, you should check out the free tuesday night races when they're in the season. They're byob and it's tough to beat watching local bicycle racing with like-minded bike people. It's off-season right now, looks like they start those races back up again around April:

Really? Twenty miles is not convenient to you? You must not realize how fortunate you are to have a velodrome close to you!

Frankly, I'm not sure what use I'd have for a velodrome if it were 2 miles away. I drive a car, but I don't miss not being near any NASCAR tracks either.
