Then please do so. Thank you. You called my Nishiki a "clown bike." Someone else here called it the best looking Nishiki in the country. Perhaps we should just make our own judgments, in private, and keep them to ourselves, eh? Sorry you're having a bad day, hope it gets better, but I'll make no apologies for any bike I've restored.

Bikes: Specialized Tarmac (carbon), Specialized Roubaix (carbon, wifey), Raleigh Super Course (my favorite), and 2 Centurion project bikes.

Brought this one out and took "as purchased" photos yesterday afternoon. Haven't touched it yet, but two things were immediately apparent:

1. The rear derailleur is badly bent inboard. I've never tried to fix a derailleur before; will probably box it up and replace it with a newer Shimano.
2. The 1 1/4" tires, Shrader valves and kickstand. :-) Confirmation of the bike's "recreational" status. But still - so LIGHT for a casual steelie. They did good with that.
