1972 Olympia Special Piuma

70's FlashBack Nisi tubulars with 22mm Continental Giro's with Campy Tipo hubs, Universal Super 68 brakes, 3ttt stem and bar with clothwrap and cork endcaps, Regina cog, Campagnolo Sport crank , Record derailleurs and shifters, its a blast to ride , but it sure makes you respect the guys that pounded over the Roubaix cobbles on these machines

So many nice details on these bicycles.

Bet it rides great. Looks like it just came from the showroom floor.

That's a beauty! The pearl color is really nice, and I like the thick, long lug points. Recently restored? IMHO, she deserves better rubber, though. My experience with Giros is they have a harsh ride and poor durability. Some high quality 27mm or wider tubulars, and she'd spit at the cobbles

Really love this bike - the color, details and parts. The whole is very sharp. Olympia sure made some nice bikes.

Almost, back then the pros rode Clement Del Mundos or Paris-Roubaix on the pave.
They or their mechanics knew how to be as comfortable as possible.
Also, a few rode leather saddles instead of the new leather covered plastic saddles for that race.

I like the bike very much, well spec'ed

Thanks for the comments ! I never really cared for Continentals of any kind myself I run Vittoria clinchers on my newer bikes , but these had a offer I could not refuse, the bike has had some resto done to it , cable and housings , gumwall hoods from Italy no less , could not find them anywhere in the States!and some repop decals, which I was latter informed the downtube decals were incorrect ,the original ones sorta of had a slight laid back look to them, oh well, I will tackle that in the near future , for now I will ride as is .thanks again

It sure cleaned up nicely after the mud in Paris-Roubaix! That bike is beautiful.
