New Guy From Montreal !!!!!! with pics of course !!
New member, here, long time lurker.
I'm from Montréal, looking for other fans of steel in the area.
My baby, Marinoni, 1989, custom built for me by the man, still in love with it

Second, another Noni, from 1991, insane color combo, recently fitted with Dura Ace 8 speed, 7402, only missing the crank if you got it!
Third, a classic Bianchi Campione d`Italia in Celeste
Just got a Litespeed Ultimate and a Fantastic Torpado Super Racing that will go to paint Chez Marinoni, yep the guy still builds and paints.
Check him out if you are looking for a custom steel with or without lugs in classic Columbus tubing
Steven

Hi Steven, and welcome to the forums!
I'm a former Montréaler (six years, before I moved to Vancouver) - and a fellow-owner of one of those ca. 1990 Marinonis with a funky fade paintjob.
Great stable of bikes there; any chance of posting bigger pics? If you can get them sized right, you can post 'em in-text instead of as 'attachments', and make 'em bigger so we can take in the details...
It's great to know that G. Marinoni is still building.
Guy at my LBS couldn't recommend the recent film about Marinoni enough; it was made locally in MTL (I remember seeing the filmmaker posting on the local craigslist for storied and anecdotes local cyclists might have when I was last living down by Parc Lafontaine), and played recently at the big film fest here (VIFF), but I have yet to see it.
They were working on building up a 40th anniversary Marinoni frame that had been given to a person involved in bringing the film to the VIFF.

welcome, from another fellow Marinoni Fan. I only retain a 1981 Pista Special but have owned many.
it would be great if you could host your photos on a site such as photobucket and embed them in the forum.

might I inquire as to why you already want to paint your two new bikes? Is the paint in bad shape? I have found that repainting can destroy some of the value...
