Decal Source?
Starting on my 1984 Miyata 610 project and trying to get all the bases covered. Spent some time at an auto paint store this AM looking at product. Seems I can get everything from primer to base to clear coat for about $100. They were very helpful!!
My next puzzle piece is to locate decals. Velocal only carries 1985 decals. So I was wondering if anyone here might have some suggestions?
Thanks!

If you can find a graphic somewhere online, you can download it and then print it on "decal paper." You then give the decal paper 2 coats of clear spray paint, cut them up, and apply like any other decals.

I was going to tell you Velocals until I saw that you said they only carry 1985 decals. I did reach out to a seller on Etsy. "CustomDecalsByNikki" and she said that she could reproduce bike decals with no issues. However I did not end up needing decals for that particular project in the end so I cannot vouch on the results. Maybe it is worth reaching out to her to see if this is an option…

Decal paper comes in white and clear. If you use clear, then apply the decal over a dark painted surface, the decal does not show up well...
If you do wish to make your own decals, you might need to use a printer that includes white ink.
If you can find proper examples of what you want, complete with really good pictures and measured sizes, Greg, at Cyclomondo, will make you a set for a price. He does really good work, in my opinion.
