Brake Hood Color?

OK this is a cosmetic question!
I am making up my parts list for my 1984 Miyata 610 project. I am going with new aero brake levers and trying to decide between black and tan. To me the tan look a bit more classy. So is the bar tape color a consideration?
Thoughts?
These are the things running through my mind while I was out snowblowing 4" of fresh snow off the drive!

Bikes: LESS than I did a year ago!

What color is the frame? Tires? Cable housing?

Oh boy! Well those are all subject to change.

I like tan, but they get dirty. Obviously, any color other than black will show dirt more.

Go with one of each!

Seriously, go with black. The tan is an imitation of the old gum rubber ones that they don't make any more, and the color isn't right at all. Even to my very limited color perception it looks fake.
