Would I own a Varsity that clean that's old enough to have DT shifters, yes probably. Would I own one of the ones with stem shifters, probably never. Cool find!,,,,BD

I've flipped about a dozen. Rear axle is always bent, unlike the Raleigh 3 speeds where the front axle is always bent.
They're pretty so I always bring them home but I know they won't ride like my Super Course so I always sell them in the end. I never get enough money for them but people seem to be happy with them. Thatt's a good thing.

Bikes: 64 Schwinn Varsity in Coppertone, 74 Raleigh Super Course MKII, 72 Mercier 300, 71 Atala Gran Prix, 2002 Trek 1200 and approximately 25 others I'm too lazy to list - of which 15 of those, are Varsity's (my fav)

Bikedued - thanks! Yeah the stem shifter one's seem to still be literally everywhere. Every now and then I look on ebay for a chuckle when I see so many of them for 2 or 3 hundred bucks. GOOD LUCK lol.

Sailor Benjamin: I think the only people that have a big interest in them, are people my age or older who are nostalgic or what not. I am loving my Supercourse MK2 I just bought for 20 bucks. Cleaned up well and rides great so far. Front rim so far is smooth, but that is good to know for me to be aware of!
