Hmm, which one?
$250 asking, fair condition, would need repaint and decals, but Columbus SLX goodness, and pantos, etc.
Asking $200, NOS 980c, new condition, need to completely build.
Asking $250, excellent condition, needs everything that attaches, for sure.

Battaglin,
I want to suggest the Battaglin, seeing how I will probably end up buying it from you at the end of the summer.

Voted Battaglin. I'm currently building a Cadex 980c (just need wheels) with a Shimano 600 groupset and TVT fork. They originally came with Shimano 105 groups out of factory if you wanted some direction on where to go.

I like the Battaglin but I don't see why it needs painted.

That Battaglin looks friggin' sweet!
The other two, while I'm sure they are wonderful bikes, won't turn heads, or stir souls, like that Italian steel.

I would choose the Battaglin first, then the Battaglin, and lastly the Battaglin.

I go Battaglin too. From that one image the paint looks tolerable. The Italian national color fade looks interesting. If you had to repaint it, replicate the World Championship winning frame.
If you keep the Italian flag color paint, then the ensemble Must be Campagnolo.

Why not all three? Ok, now you can rationalize that you will only purchase a and b and pat yourself on the back for such restraint.

Robbie,
Just a thought. Let's get all of the major building and wrenching projects out of the way in February and March so we can focus on the most important part.
Riding and bike adventures.
I've decided to stop any build that isn't complete by the end of March.

You've drooled on the Mootry for more than a few minutes, but personally, I think it's rather meh. The Battaglin has the most flair. But the Cadex can be a reminder of just how far Carbon has come: a time capsule.

I voted Battaglin because this is the C&V forum. If you'd posted this in a different forum, such as road racing or something, I would have voted differently. There, I would have voted Battaglin because the other two are ugly.

I voted for the Bat but I gotta say I bought a $30 Goodwill 980c that was completely covered in some sort of gunk. Cleaned it up and it was very low milage, super clean and road beautifully. Could not get more than $300 for it locally or on ebay. I think the carbon crowd only like the newer swoopy stuff and the C&V people want steel. That's a shame as I believe the 980c to be a great ride.
