The bike footage was done in front of my Uncle's bike shop in Melrose, MA.
Question - the very large majority of films that have been put up I cannot pull up. Just the gray ! in the middle. What's with that?

Today is the 37th Anniversary of the filming of the very first mountain bike video, before the name had even been coined. This was a downhill race that took place on January 20, 1979.
I promoted the race and I also raced in it, on my new bike built by Joe Breeze. A KPIX camera crew made the video, which was later broadcast nationally on a program called Evening Magazine. Gary Fisher makes a prophetic statement.
