I could be wrong but I think that fork is bent forward. Love that paint though, would love to find another black and blue Via Carisma

I say that, but it's not true. I mean it is, but it isn't. But it is. But not really. But it is.

1. There is no perfect bike. If there was, we would each only need one. We find bikes that are best suited to our needs, whims, or place in life, and all those things change.
2. There is always another deal. If I sell a bike I love, it's not hard to find another bike I love just as much. There's always another deal.
So I'm selling the bikes that don't fit my needs, whims or lot in life right now. I reserve the right to change my mind in the future. Besides, playing with lots of bikes is fun!

I have a few frames/projects to keep me busy, but my garage is near capacity, so may have to sell 1-2. But I have some creative storage ideas, too (how best to present this to the mrs.?...)! So may add 1-2 special bikes as space and budget allow. Probably end up around the same number with changes.

I have to admit, that I am an extreme hoarder. I have several hundred bikes, and space to store them. But in a few years I will be selling that space and I figure at minimum, a hundred bikes need to go each year. For the most part, mid range C&V: Schwinn, Fugi, Raleigh and misc. Japanese stuff. CL is dead this time of year, but once spring arrives, I hope to move 2 -3 a week. Ain't easy to let go of your kids. Saddest of all is that I have not ridden more than 20 miles a week in the last year.
Brings up another question...got anything interesting********** :-) Well...there goes a shot at N-1!

I might be nearly done painting my Raleigh International frame, so it might become a bike this year.
I might get my Twenty back on the road. I need to cut the head tube down to make the threadless headset fit.
I have a Lemond Ti frame I plan to build up. I acquired it last year.
I really ought to make the Burley tandem roadworthy this year, too.
So I'd say that's N+M, even though I don't plan to acquire any bikes this year.
That ends me up with too many bikes, as usual. Gotta give up my attachment to my bikes. A friend offered to buy my Viscount fixie from me, so maybe I'll give in to that offer.

Like he said, anything interesting? Not that I need anything else...
You need to get out more! From April to mid-December I managed about 200 miles/week, mostly commuting. Since the route is appropriate for a road bike the non-tandem-on-the-weekend miles were pretty evenly distributed across my bikes. But I can still stand to cull the herd.

Of the 8 or 9 bikes and frames of mine in the basement right now, two are earmarked to go out the door.
One of those is too small (an easy move); the other I'm a little reluctant on...but I think I can go through with it (the bike never became a favorite rider).
I've got a level of duplication of function going on that suggests 1 more of those remaining needs to go.
And I'm considering an offer on a frame set for sale locally that would only exacerbate the over-supply of racy 1980s road bikes in the house.
But I can't quite put it together to a point where I'm confident of which additional bike I'd accept parting with.
I, too, need to be a bit less over-attached. I've been riding little recently due to winter weather (though that's just cool rain here on the Pacific coast), but almost all my clear-weather riding lately has been on my modern (if somewhat classically-styled) Bill Holland Ti and one or another of two C&V steeds I use around town. That said, it's awfully nice out today (10ºC, clear and sunny)...maybe I can think this thing through a bit on my afternoon ride.

I have five bikes, three of which are regularly ridden. They do pretty much everything I need, so I don't plan to acquire any more. There's some duplication among my bikes, but I'm not under any pressure to sell any. So I expect the collection to stay at five indefinitely.

I'm trying to cull my fleet. I currently have five and I'd like to be at about three.
Obviously, those which don't fit go first...
The three I'd like to keep are:
My Townie coaster-brake (errand bike)
My cruiser 7-speed (longer rides)
A road bike of some sort (until I find a recumbent I like)
That should be sufficient to maximize the fun, minimize the spousal disgruntlement, and free up some storage space.

I have everything I need, and more. I'm in the market for very specific items, most of which I'm not likely to find here. There are a couple of exceptions though. If one of them turns up, then we'll see. I could easily get rid of a couple that I've picked up just because.

Just like seedsbelieze, I am in the market for a very specific bike. But because I'm always on the lookout for that one particular bike, I'm always coming across other things that call out to me. Anything cheap, classy, or needing repair(especially all three) catches my eye and often finds it's way home with me. My intention is to go N-1, but in the past six weeks I've added a Centurion
Ironman, Motobecane Grand Jubilee, and Motobecane Grand Record. I am failing miserably at this N-1 thing!

So far this year I am N+5 but will probably part with 2, maybe 3.
Four of them have been mountain bikes, each are unique and desirable but circumstances dictate otherwise. Three were given to me and two were just to good to pass up.

Already at +1. Building up a Proflex (not to original specs...I want to ride the darn thing and not look around for a Girvin fork). Might be +2 soon, though...then, I swear I am done!

Definitely N+1 for me. I'm looking to get a track bike and maybe try something with a modern drivetrain.

N-21 so far this year and minus 20+ frames, several cranksets, RDs and other misc.
I have only purchased one frame this year and a portion of the above reduction included trading 10 frames and 10 completes for 2 wheelsets, which may help me move 2 more completes.

I hope to keep the fleet equal in 2015; but honestly, I didn't expect to add four bikes in 2014 (two his and two hers). Reading this thread helps me feel better about have 13 bikes at my house... only 6 of them are for me. (edit) ... and I ride all six regularly.

I was N-several last year, at N-1 so far this year, will probably end up at N-3 by year end. Gettin' downright scarey.

Hmm...
...Should be at least a n-4 year if I can do it. Wife and kids out of town this weekend so hopefully I can to the repair/refurb thing this weekend. Low-end Diamondback hybrid, Lemond Tourmalet, Schwinn High Sierra, two buffalos to part out (Trek 750 and Performance MTB), kid's Diamondback, Dyno BMX, Schwinn lady's Traveler, and maybe a Schwinn Mirada mixte to all go. Chances are I will only get to a few of them, but boy do I need to get rid of some. I really don't have time for the flipping game anymore, no matter what I would like to do.
If only I could N+spare time.

My modern bike is going to the glue factory, as is the gravel grinder. No gravel anyway near me.
Due to a rear hub problem my slick-tired SSMTB is getting the axe too. My MTB is old and tired too to the point of being unrideable.
So Just the Somec and a fixie for daily use.
Bleak prospect, aye?
