Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

It was a DIY hip support cradle made by Dan Henry (of the route markers) slightly over a 1/2 century ago. It used a handle bar and webbing and was supported by a quill stem fitted into a shimmed seat tube.

This is the second post of this vintage photo today (yesterday now) and there's more about it and the inventor on this thread.
