Yes, they are trigger shifters (like a mtn bike). It is a 3x7 setup. An all-in-one brake and index shifting setup from Shimano. Not expensive and seems to work well. I have used the same setup on an older KHS Team Montana mountain bike for over 2 years with no problems.

The bar on this bike is a Soma Swallowtail bar. You'll have to know the interior diameter of the bar to confirm whatever you select will fit a bar end. Most likely no problem, but diameters do differ and you wouldn't want an ugly surprise.

Bit of a left-field choice, but nice! I've got the gent's version. Interesting design and pretty light. Here's a picture of the mixte.

I ran into this last year, and got it for my girl. It's a rebranded AlAn. As bought:

Has sat since completed. Sadly not ridden
Nice build! And sad indeed. But don't despair. Based om my own experience and what I've read on this forum it takes four rebuilds on average, plus some patience to get it right.

A few years ago there were some carbon mixte frames.

Kona Coco is an alu mixte as is Charge Grater. If you want steel, see Wollstonecraft Mixte
There are also some bamboo custom models.

That sucks, you really don't see touring mixtes often. Sorry you missed it.

If that was directed at me, thanks. However, I do not need the bike and my wife does not ride enough to use her existing bikes so could not justify this one. It's just one of those life things that seem to happen. I also like VW Vanagons and learned about a desirable one in boondock NY state after returning home from a trip north where I had driven through that town the previous week.

Back on subject, years ago I went to look at a ladies' Paramount in Kool Lemon in great shape for $200 but did not buy it. Made a reasonable decision that I only reflect on and regret occasionally. This time, I blame this thread.

Soma makes some nice modern mixte/step-through frames.
