6Gap,3Gap, Valley ride - Anyone else going?

Anyone else going or have done this ride? If so could you share your experiences. I've dropped 60lbs since October and I'll drop another 25lbs or so before the late September event in N.Georgia. A friend just moved close to the high school start/finish so that coupled with my increased fitness level and weight loss I've planned to do the 3Gap ride. My friend however has reservations(fellow Florida flatlander) and is leaning to doing the new valley ride. Thanks for any input!

One of my group rides just did the 34 mile 3 gap n said it was hard, 4000 ft gain so that means there's another 2000 ft of gain from the school to the gaps , I didn't go I didn't like their late leave time that day , but it's been kinda on my bucket list so I'm doing it
