I have a thread going in Community Connections > Regional Discussions > Great Lakes about the upcoming (7/9/2016) organised ride (not a race) known as "One Helluva Ride"

Summary: Long routes (40, 66, 76, and 100 mile) start and end at chelsea fairgrounds (20 min west of Ann Arbor). Lunch stop and the start/stop for short route (15 and 32 mile) rides is Portage Lake State Park near Jackson.
It's a lot of fun and very popular. Advanced (online) registration ends at midnight tomorrow. Day of event registration will be available, but cost increases from $25 to $35 per adult. Depending on which route rest stops are about every 17 miles or so.
