I think there's a loose wire or something in my Kickr Snap ...
I went up yesterday to warm up the back room where the trainer is and I noticed my lights weren't blinking on the back of the trainer. I checked, it was plugged in. Thought maybe we blew a circuit, but my fan still worked.
Started messing with the snap, had power to the brick, and depending on how I plugged in the brick output to the Snap, it would power on. Basically if I held the wires a certain way, I had power. If it moved, I lost power. I sent an email to Wahoo support but haven't heard back from them yet. Kinda bummed and would really like to ride soon. I'll have to follow up with a phone call today

Wahoo is NOT endearing itself to me with its customer support so far ...
I submitted a ticket via their website. It took a full day to get any reply. I replied IMMEDIATELY in order to hopefully facilitate this, but it's been 24 hours and I've not heard anything back yet. Not really happy at the moment.

So call them. You shouldn't expect a real-time exchange via email, that's just unreasonable. I swapped emails with them in the fall because I couldn't remember which power adapter was the right one - I think I got answers within 24 hours each time.

They're sending out a new cable. It's the little stubby cable that comes out of the unit that the power adapter gets plugged into. Hoping that solves the issue because I really don't want to ship it back.
Meantime, my bike is getting a much needed overhaul, after which I'll be maintaining it a little better than in the past

So I’ve decided to work on my climbing this weekend since can’t ride outside thx to unusual weather here in California (RAIN).
Saturday I chose the Triple Loop route which starts out really flat then sends you over to the Surrey Hill area to climb Leith Hill. Then loop over to Box Hill and back to start point. Well Leith Hill kicked my butt. I chose to go straight and not turn up Box Hill. 21 miles, 1175 ft in 1 hr 44 min.
Today was Watopia so I chose Mountain route which goes up Epic KOM then radio tower and back to start thru Esses. The climb to the KOM banner was hard. Skipped radio tower. Finished with 17 miles, 1716 feet in 1 hour 41 min.

That triple loop route is FLAT for the first bit and then the hill. I'd rather start with the hills and end with the flat.

I am kind of at the point where I pick a route mainly to get a starting point that suits me, and then manually enter the turns in whatever direction I feel like doing. For example, I could start at the normal spot, but immediately do a U-turn, go across Tower Bridge, then take the flat bit to go around and get to the start of Box hill (in the normal direction).

Just the volcano route? Not other routes? I'd like to do certain routes in the reverse direction w/o having to KNOW the turns. Tho I am getting to know the maps now, so maybe I don't need this function like I did in the past.

Hit level 13 last night by 4 XP! I now have the Zwift Aero bike. I am 96 miles from finishing the California Challenge and getting the Tarmac.

Well ... the good news is the "pigtail" connector that Wahoo sent to fix the issue has worked.
Now I just need my bike back from the shop

Indeed - I was antsy when I was off the road/Zwift bike at Christmas, but it was well worth it to take it in. The shifting got a lot quieter. The LBS did a better job of adjusting the thing than I do, I guess..
I was surprised when I brought my hybrid into the shop - they said the chain was worn to the point where a new cassette was warranted. And the chain wear tool I have is apparently dated - only able to measure 0.75% and 1.0%. There is a different one for 0.5%/0.75% that I should be using instead.

Anyone successfully used Zwift Mobile Link (now Zwift Companion App) on Android phone to link Bluetooth sensors with Apple TV running Zwift? I can get the AppleTV to switch to having Mobile Link connect sensors but nothing ever connects.
Connecting directly to AppleTV works but of course then can only connect 2, not 3 devices.
Mobile app is connecting to the Game, but clicking on the BT icon in game page brings up "There are no connections"
I put a support ticket in figured I'd see if anyone already conquered Zwift on AppleTV with ZML/ZCA on Android.
Thanks.

Chains are relatively cheap - when I mounted the road bike on the Kickr, I put a new chain on it (probably because it was ready for it, but mainly because I didn't want to haul a bike with a filthy drivetrain through the house). Changing a cassette isn't hard either - I have the tools for that as well, and the cassettes on my bikes are pretty standard.
And for that matter, a chain measuring tool is also pretty cheap. I just need to get a different one. And this thread reminded me that I actually needed to order it rather than think about it . While I was at it, I ordered the chain pliers since my wife's bike has the master link in it.
One thing I am thinking of doing is trying to silence some of the sounds in Zwift. For some reason in London the crowd noises annoy me - especially the "Woo-hoo" that comes up every 2 minutes or so. Birds, waterfalls, all of that other stuff is no big deal. Somewhere online I saw a way to silence that by finding the little sound clips on disk and deleting the appropriate ones. Or replacing them with bird noises. These days I am doing 45-minute rides at 6AM, and quieting the thing down a little would also be appreciated by my wife.

I actually asked the guy at the shop if he had a used or cheap rear wheel laying about I could buy, and pair with an identical cassette, so that I can have a dedicated trainer wheel and a dedicated outdoor wheel, eliminating the need to swap to a trainer tire for bad weather.
