Have to yank the cranks off the Ridley; friend wants them, so time to start scrapping out that bike. Probably rebuild the front wheel, but much ot the rest is going in the bin.

I’d had a fit in past and thought I had it set up per those measurements but in the past couple years I’ve had some discomfort and friend got her fit done with this guy. She spoke glowingly of how detailed the fit was. I read reviews and checked his page to see for myself. It was very technical and used sensors on my “hinge” points and there was a camera thing that measured using sensors. I get follow up fitting sessions as part of fit.

I tried reading the keto diet posts going on elsewhere in the Clyde/Athena forum.
Sheesh!! It's so confusing and so full of contradictory information and claims, it's useless.

Yeah, too complicated. Just stick to your salads when you're at a pizza place and you'll be fine!

Teaser image, which looks identical to mine minus the old celeste Bianchi mounted. You hear that @expatbrit I ACTUALLY HAVE A BIANCHI!
The thing I"m digging about the stand in particular, besides how nice and small it folds up... you clamp in the front dropouts and rest the BB shell on a rubber mount doohickey in the back. You can wrench on it pretty good without upsetting things, and of course, you can pedal to trouble shoot shifting, or install derailleurs and a chain as I did today. It spins around pretty easily too. And of course, red is the fastest color.
My last stand was one of those two legged jobs that clamped on to the top tube or the seat post but it was never very secure. It was more of a third hand to hold the bike upright and was more of a pain than it was worth. I recycled it Monday.

I must admit, I got a good fit when I purchased my last roadbike and just left it alone, for the most part. I did pull a couple of spacers at some point, but not a huge change even there. The only time I had to have someone tweak it was when I replaced the Prologo saddle with a Fizik in an attempt for more comfort, did a cold, wet, rainy, hilly century and really tore out my knee...

Rained here last night, supposed to rain again today, so I did yoga and will plan to ride tomorrow.
And while taking the dogs out I checked my bike in the back room and the back tire is flat ... I hit a small pothole the on Tuesday pretty good (wasn't paying attention, didn't avoid it, felt huge but likely not). Big enough to cause a pinch flat I'm assuming. At least I got yesterday's ride in before it went flat.

REI had it for $250. I think Nashbar might have had it for less but I can't get Nashbar gift cards from our at-work-pat-on-the-head program. I *could* get performance gift cards, but those are at a 10% premium to REI for some reason, and nashbar inexplicably won't take them anyway.
There are probably less expensive alternatives out there (not park!) but I've read plenty of good things about the feedback sports model, and so far it's living up to my expectations.
There's nothing round on my Gan to clamp, so I needed one like this.

That's not a bad price for that type of stand. I have carbon seat masts so everywhere is carbon to clamp it into stand. I don't like that. Not to mention the lack of getting it out of the way. My husband has it jammed in the back of the garage behind stuff so I have to struggle to get my stand out and then carefully put it back w/o causing issues with his Chevelle SS project stuff....

first brakeless death ride, wasn't bad, route has minimal intersections and almost pancake flat, 250ft over 14miles.
Hopefully my LBS will have my brake parts early next week
metal flakes in the sun shows pretty nice

I'm also very relieved that he is in custody now. I was shocked he was released on bail in February considering his history of failure to appear. And very happy of the more serious charges as the original charges were so minor to what he did

It's good the DA seems to be taking this case seriously now. What is so unfortunate is that nothing was done to get him off the streets prior. Given his history of violations and his license suspended 2 months prior to this incident for failure to appear on a reckless driving charge, was an arrest warrant issued after that non-appearance? Why wasn't he arrested for not appearing? I understand they can't actively serve warrants for every failure to appear, but when it involves repeated behavior that endangers the public, seems like we should be getting more for our law enforcement dollars.

@jimincalif law enforcement reached out to SoCal bike clubs for 1) people who had information about how this individual was driving recklessly and willing to testify to such and 2) anyone who had video or photos from a camera that would help them buid a case.
I'll keep my eyes open (this happened very local to me) for updates as they happen.
