I'm going to try to get 700 miles this month. Would also like to continue my ride every day schedule. We'll see how both go.

Planning on 300 - 400 miles. My major concern is the potential heat. Early rides might do it.

It wasn't too bad as far as spills go, I suppose. I was approaching the entrance to the park where my car was at the end of a ride. There was an older woman with a small dog in her basket a little ahead. I didn't want to pass and then turn into the park in front of her, so I slowed. But she was going far slower than anticipated and appeared to see me in her mirror, so I motioned and said to go on with one hand while braking with the other, skidded, and lost balance. She stopped and asked if I was okay.
I've got a pretty good knee scrape and elbow bruise, but that's all. I didn't go for a ride yesterday, but the bike repair stand arrived, so I cleaned and adjusted my bike instead. I feel like a real bicyclist now with the repair stand. Well, not quite, I don't have a bike rack/hitch yet.
So at least my first June rides will be with a clean, freshly-lubed bike, once I heal a bit.

I'm not sure how many miles I'll do. I want to do as many as possible. But around here it's been in the high 90s by mid morning, and that's too hot for me to do much outside. I am going to continue my streak of riding either outdoors or indoors every day though. Today is day #120.

06/01 - 38.2 miles
06/02 - 40.3 miles
06/03 - 38.2 miles
MTD: 116.7 miles
GOAL: 700 miles
Trying to eat better, hydrate better and cut out snacks. And honestly, I'm trying to stay on 1,000 mile pace just not sure how long that will last with the increasing heat. I'm down over 6 pounds so far this month. I hope that continues.
It's not that I'd like to be bending "the rules" by posting here by the end of the year. Would be nice to be a clyde at heart only. Only 59 pounds to go.

I like hanging out in this sub-forum, there are lots of great people here and less drama here.
Good luck with the weight loss.

Dammit, I finally start seeing the back end of this cold and cough and start getting some hope that I'll get back on the bike this week and start my June totals, but the weather has turned again. Forecast for the next 3 days is showers, thunderstorms and 20-40kph winds. I suppose those winds will be okay if I only want to ride in one direction!!

As I was getting ready to go out, my wife asks "Isn't it supposed to rain?" "Just stray showers" I said. "Nothing on radar." And off I went.
She was right. Light shower on the way out, but when I returned it had poured and there were puddles everywhere for the last 4 miles. Didn't really get rained on, but got soaked by the spray. Dried off the chain but I guess tomorrow I'll clean and re-lube it.

Goal: 500 miles.
6/1 - 55 miles
6/2 - 5
6/3 - 46
6/4 - 33
MTD: 134 miles
The hills on the trail by my house are hurting my butt. There is one climb that is about 10%, I need to get in better shape.

These numbers are a far cry from where I was last year. Moving and fixing up a house sure is annoying.
