I'm not sure what to think about December. I got 426 miles last December, but I don't think that's going to happen this year. I'll shoot for a hopeful 409 miles. If I can manage that I'll hit 6,500 for the year.

I don't foresee getting many miles in as winter is not great riding in Montana. I had a really lucky November but don't see it continuing. I can deal with riding in the cold if it is sunny but when it is snowing no can do.

I have no indoor trainer and am a bit of a wimp when it comes to cold weather, hence living in Arizona, so I don’t know how to guess at my prospective mileage for the month, especially with upcoming holiday travel.

That said, I will ride as much and when I can.

12/1: 18.76 miles, kind of slow. It was cold, raining, wet roads, and a bit windy. White chili for dinner warmed me back up.

MTD: 18.76
YTD: 1240.69

I'm still fighting this chest cold, coughing my head off every night and sleeping upright in a recliner. November ended up being a disappointment. My goal for 2023 is 3,000 miles, and at the start of November I was confident I would hit 3,000 before the end of the month, but not quite (2944.1). Last December I managed 207 miles. I'll shoot for 250 this year.

Might get a ride in tonight, but then the next couple of days are going to be pretty wet.

Mt. Lemmon in Tucson gets snow every year. It has the southern-most ski resort in the continental US. OTOH, I have seen snow on the ground in the valley in Tucson exactly once. We live in a valley south of, but at a much higher elevation than Tucson, and will usually get a light snow several times during the winter, and every couple or three years, we get some pretty good accumulation in the valley. It never lasts long, though. The mountains around us always get snow in the winter.

Flagstaff always gets snow, and the high elevations around it as well.

Arizona is one place where you can have the A/C and the heat on in your car or home on the same day, and need it for both parts of the day.
