I'm looking forward to the footwear advice. I ride to work in my Dockers and button down shirt with loafers, and the toes can get pretty chilly when the temps are in the 30s.

I already have fenders and lights on my Bianchi commuter. The 700 23C studded tires just arrived, and soon they will goon the commuter in case of black ice.

My Diamondback beater bike will get the 26" studded tires from last year and it will be used on the sloppy days.

I still need fenders for the beater. After the election I plan to grab a roadside sign and make a set. That’s the best thing about politics - free signs.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

One alternative is to get the neoprene wader foot covers with the soles on them if you ride platform pedals or Clip and strap. Wear WOOL socks (warm even when wet!), stay away from cotton and remember that cold air leaks past the tongue on most shoes. Another alternative is "Seal" socks. Waterproof and warm!
