Jamis Quest

Info for other Clydes...

I'm looking for my first dropped bar bike in 30 yrs. I'm 44 yrs, 6-4, 215, and I just tested a 59cm 2006 Quest. For those unfamiliar with the Quest, it's a 631 steel frame with 105 STI shifters and drivetrain.

There were some fit issues for my 25 min test ride, but the frame felt awesome. I've never before ridden 700x23 tires, and I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth ride -- despite the tires at 120psi and some rough pavement.

Disclaimer: I own a 2005 Jamis Coda Elite with a 631 frame that will become my daily commuter, so I'm obviously becoming addicted to the feel of steel.

I have a Jamis Quest, and do enjoy the ride. It's not a featherweight, but has served me well.

I just wish I could find a local Jamis dealer that had something other than beach crusiers.
