1,000 Mile Month
Caution: The following is a not-paid advertisement tooting my own horn. Proceed with caution.
Awhile back, Mr. Beanz posted a challenge (well I took it as one anyway ): 1,000 mile month. I was close once last year.
Well, there are 2 days left in this month and I currently have 996.46 miles. My recovery ride tomorrow should push me over the edge. Yahoo!! And on Monday, I might be putting in 80 or so, giving me close to 1,100 for the month.

Actually, I'm a year-'round school teacher. I work 4 months, get 2 months off. March & April I'm off Although, I do usually average about 170 miles a week even when working, riding 5-6 days--I commute 4 times a week, averaging 30 miles a day.

I may have reached 1000 a month once or twice in my life. When I was keeping mileage records for the Ultra Marathon Cycling Association a guy set up an 1/8 mile loop in a mall parking lot and partly as a promotion for the mall did 200 miles a day on his recumbent. Choke, 1600 laps a day. Still, it was a Leap Year, so he did 5,800 miles that month.

Excellent work!
I'll probably finish this month with about 530 to 550 miles. 1000 miles in one month is an awesome goal -- I hope to do it this year.

I never posted a 1,000 mile month cahllenge. Maybe talking about when I said I did my best of 960, anybody else don it type thing?
Either way, I'll pat you on the back cause I know how tough it is to even get close!
I think I posted a 'who can post the most ride pics?' challenge too!

As far as pics, I don't always remember to take a camera. That'd be ME's domain
