I got my wife out!
For the first time in about 9 months I got the wife out to ride. We did a 12 mile leisurely ride on the local MUP.
She's an avid runner, but she's still sore.

Very nice! I've been working on getting my wife interested, and think I may have finally succeeded. She thinks the Salsa Casseroll single speed bikes "look really cool". I'm thinking one with a Nexus hub in the back as a surprise present.. . She's also a avid runner/treadmill dork, but I think if I convert her it's all over.

I'm lucky. Mine rides with me almost every time out. She generally does a good job of keeping up as well, which is nice.

My GF rides with me every weekend on the rail/trail MUP. We do around 25 miles Saturdays and most Sundays. I cannot get her to ride on streets, though.

Do any of you manipulate the tire pressure to keep your riding partner from leaving you in the dust on days when you feel sluggish? I'm just asking.

Dunno. My partner lit up when I told him that a bottle dynamo knocks the gearing on my bike up about a cog or two tho. (He left me in the dust last night and was very pleased with himself... I don't think he's thought through what happens if I start riding with the dynamo on all the time.)

Granted, that tends to backfire when said MT is Scandium/Carbon Salsa with full XT setup as a "race bike"...

Mine will ride with me if the temp is between 70 and 80 and the wind is 5 mph or less.
So I ride alone a lot.
