Nite Ride w/pics and Camera Takes a Dive! Who Jinxed Me?

I think it was Wogster!....Never a problem dropping the camera till HE mentioned it! Well now I know it's one tough camera. Took a dive at 25 mph, slid thru the water, hit the curb and still tickin'. Had to backtrack about 10 yards looking for the memory card in the dark. Little bugger jumped out on impact. Did a roadside check and it still works.

The ride was very nice! 30 miles, final 10 in the dark. Air is much nicer at night and the bike just floated up the hills.

Couple of pics from behind the bars

Thanks to a big fat mailbox and the timer, got a pic of my poseur self

Getting ready to head down into the dark

Happy after the camera survived a 25 mph dive. Can't really see but I was coming up on 2 mtb's with blinkies, little fuzzy! Cameera focused on my face rather than the bikes ahead.

Is your headlight that good, or is it from the flash of the camera**********

It's the flash from the camera. But I do have 2 lights. One pointed down at teh ground ahead of me (blue lite) and one straight ahead (Black Cateye). When it's semi lite, the lites don't help much as far as lighting, mostly in the 'to be seen' dept. When it's dark, they lite up well enough to see where I'm going.

When it's dark, I can see the streets signs (stop signs/yield signs etc.) lite up from about 75 yards. I have also had cars flash their lites at me as if I was blinding them. Cateye was about $50 on sale and the blue lite about $30.

I use tri colored ankle ankle strap reflectors too. I think the leg/reflector movement reallyhelps to be seen!
