I've never had a bleeding problem, but when my nipples get tender a bit of Carmex (lip balm with camphor and lanolin) does the trick.

I'm not sure how practical this idea is, but the n+1 crowd will see the value. Get a tandem bike and equip the rider behind with small sticks to push your shirt away from your body.

Take out your nipple rings when you ride.

+1 on the moleskin.

I wore away the tips of my nips on a long run last year. By the time I stopped, my shirt had two trails of blood running down the front. To aleviate the problem I used small pieces of moleskin (about 1cm by 1cm) and the problem went away.

If you already have some minor scabbing from your last ride, wait until it heals before using moleskin as the adhesive backing will just rip the scabs off when you remove it.

Geez. All day yesterday as I was driving around and around the city, every time I saw a male jogger he was shirtless, and all I could do was think about his nipples.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Owww that shower burns

Hi,
Used to have lots of pain in the shower, till I bought some of the white paper tape they use in hospitals 1/4 inch of tape over the Nips before a run will make that shower more pleasant.
HAd to do this before every long run even in T-shirts, it really makes a difference.
I have actually bled thru a shirt on a 10 mile run.and the daily exercise can become cumlative.
The only pain I had at the time. I don't run anymore I beleive it caused my back problems 30 years of jogging..
Doug
Girls notice guy nips********** shocked ?? Blush!!
We had highwaypatrol man who road motorcycles come in the hospital with a DUI, and the young laddies were panting about his pants??? ???
They wouldn't explain it to me beings I am over 50 guy... something must have been interesting???Maybe it was his boots.

Holy crap, two pages and nobody has mentioned the obvious, time-proven way to minimize sore nipples...

a little dab of Vaseline on each will do ya.

heh ... my wifes final suggestion was some sort of flavored creme ...

went by wal-mart today to scope out the other shirts. of course they didnt have any in 2x ... so going to try academy tomorrow .. and try on their 1x to see if it is a more snug fit ...

picked up some liquid bandage stuff as well ... had it and some moleskin in my hand when one of the pharmists people walked up and asked if i needed help ... before i thought about it .. i rattled off the problem and asked which would they reccomend .... heh they just backed away slowly then turned the corner ...

i left the store shortly after that, before security could find me ...
