Turkey Day, Who Rode? I Did But Shouldn't Have!

Thanksgiving Day 51 miles! One of those days you don't want to ride but just do. Gina baked so I headed off alone. Worked till 1:30 am, can't sleep till 4 am, up at 8:30 am the head to the trail. Forgot the waterbottle so headed back. First sign that I should have stayed home. Then the trail was soaked, no rain, just soaked. Headed into a cold headwind then truned around at Weir and headed to the coast. Ground was wet the entire time, my poor baby is dirty!... Ground dried up at the coast but I was toast,a poet and didn't know it! Cruised back in the tired mode. I know Gina is sooooo going to kick my arse tomorrow!

2 minutes onthe bike and the wax job is gone!

Was thinking I should have stayed home but then saw all the suckers on the fwy. Atleast I was moving and going somewhere!

I was going to ride, but I overslept. That's what happens when you work a day shift following an evening shift.

1 mile today, went downtown to get a cup of coffee. It was a nice "recovery" from 23 miles the day before.

I did a short ride of 16 miles. More of a recovery ride from Tuesday's 31 and Wednesday's 50 , my legs are killing me today. The friggin' wind is getting so old, but it does help me as I have no hills or mountains. I'm going to try and get another 30 tomorrow though and then possibly 45 on Saturday, but it suppose to turn cold and rain through the weekend, so it might just be 20 miles on the trainer. oy!

We did a quick one before lunch....about 20 miles. I've been aching to try out my new cold weather gear......I was actually hot.

My wife and I went for a ride on our matching recumbents down a trail in a neighboring town. I had to stop at least 3 times to fix issues with my ebay bike that I got tuesday.
Passed my annual goal of 7250 miles on the road today while out which was pretty nice.

i did 16 miles this morning, a ride that has a pretty large hill for florida, key biscayne bridge. Two times over that really gets your legs pumping. Brought my bike to my in-laws in case i felt like riding after dinner but no go.

I am a kitchen Nazi. I cook everything for my wife's family every year. (I would let her get involved, but it would take a week to clean up the kitchen). Everyone ate and then retired to the living room to let the turkey/ambien to kick in.

I changed into bike garb and rode 20 around the county. Came back and ate like a PIG It was 57 degrees, blue sky and almost no wind. Sweet!

I conquered a new mountain today (32miles total). It started out cold but I had to stop on the mnt. to strip as I was starting to overheat from the layers I was wearing, was not a good feeling. But a very beautiful day.

I was going to take my camera but I remembered it about 10miles into it :|.

I rode on my rollers for 20 minutes at 5:00 a.m. Then went to work at the YMCA to help get ready for the 2 and 5 mile "Turkey Trot". 165+ people turned out, so we were very busy with registration. Then ran the two mile run and messed up my knee when I stepped on something on the road. Enjoyed the day with family. Played music for a few hours and then watched a movie.

Now to bed and get some sleep and ready for morning and work.

Hope everyone had a great day.

I rode the 5 miles from our place to my mom's. Nice little ride, except for the fact that on the one big hill on the route, I go to switch into the granny gear up front and the damn chain drops off of the ring. Needless to say I had to walk the rest of the hill, just couldn't get started back after that. The wife brought me home afterward since I was too full/tired to ride back. I'll go get the bike and probably ride it back tomorrow.

I rode, and it was needed after 6 days off the bike due to business travel abroad. I made up for lost time with 32 miles completed along the Chicago lakefront.

41 miles in the am solo. 1800 ft. of climbing. A slug-slow 14 mph avg. as befits a senior citizen who hasn't bicycled in a long time. But, the back roads in San Benito county (CA) have very little traffic!

Rode 45 miles -- went up to the Mormom temple (one of my favorite rides, with 5 miles up a hill tacked on).

Test riding a new jacket, which was really great. I love Giordana stuff.
