As far as the soda, I hear you. My brother in law quite drinking soda last year and has been on my case about it. My family and I (3 kids from 10 to 14) talked about it and we decided to for the new year we would go 21 days without soda or fried food. It has really been difficult, but I do not miss the soda anymore. My kids do, but they are managing. I might just stay off it totally now since I broke the habit. Fried food is another story. I will probably just limit it to once a week. We will see on the 22nd of this month.

This is rather inspiring to read. I've been hovering around the 230 mark for a couple of years now and would love to drop to around 195-200 (I'm 6'4" so I think that's a reasonable goal). I think the soda in front of me will be my last for a LONG TIME. I will do this!
