6'2" 280, down from 325 since May
My weight loss has slowed down, mainly because I had the flu two weeks ago and then it turned into bronchitis. Just barely getting over that. I would say that most of my riding involves climbing.

Perhaps a sliver of my former self, but still have some remants that aren't helping me go up hills (thinking of what's left of my MOOBS)!!!
I've only lost about 35#, maybe 40# since starting to ride again, but definitely less "fluffy" (except for the MOOBS)....
Do I seem obsessed with my MOOBS?

I read posts where some riders say,"I weigh 210 so I don't climb". Plenty of similar comments, not just here but most places in the forum.
So I'm just wondering how much we weigh? I can understand a 300 lb person not liking to climb but at 230-235 myself, it aint all that bad.

280-290 here depending on the day. But no chance to not like it, or I don't get to ride at all. And yes, I get that/read that from people much lighter than I am about climbing as well.

I have no idea where SanMarocs is so asking anyways. Have you ever done GMR? I've heard Palomar is similar, about 21 mile climb, 5000 ft (maybe little more on Palomar). Did you do the entire climb or a section? I'm not real familiar but I think it's made of of different climbs

6'2", 172.
At some point, the Clydesdale changed definitions on me and left me behind - I wasn't ready to go. It used to be that our triathlons and duathlons would define a clyde as being either over 6' or some sliding scale of height and weight. I went away from it for a while and then came back to find the 200-lb definition. The rules changed, but I didn't so here I am.

A lot of this isn't the weight but what it's made up of... I have been (past tense) a 210# 5'7" Athena with a bad knee and no lower body conditioning and little leg strength. Cardio-wise I was in decent shape from swimming. 15 months after getting back to bike riding, I'm still a slow climber but still gradually improving. Getting a nice new light bike didn't make me slower.

According to the pay-a-quarter scale this Saturday, 236 lbs, meaning I've lost about 50 lbs since I started riding a bicycle.

San Marcos is between Oceanside and Escondido. I have not done GMR, that is on my list, probably in the spring. I usually park at Harrah's casino and ride up south grade road. That is 13.5 miles up, around 4600 ft. If you continue to the observatory, it adds a few hundred feet more climbing but that part is not as steep. This is me on the way down Sunday.

6'8" ~226. Last year at this time I was 285ish. Been getting lazy about the weight loss lately, but I'm happy at this weight. My goal is 200, should be there by spring.
I climb anything that my tar clogged lungs and noodle lets can get me up.

Having said that, I don't avoid climbs and I find they are fun. Very difficult, but fun. I've always been very active in sports, however; but I was never good at endurance events.

That said; I'm 6'6", 225 pounds. I love to climb, and I love long distance rides... the 2 things us big tall guys are supposed to be bad at doing.

212 this morning. And I'll still kick your ass in the climbs.
The majority of midwest mountain biking is lots of rolling terrain with quick steep climbs. By preserving momentum and really stomping on the pedals, the climbs are actually where I do most of my passing in races.
It's also where I pull my most fiendish tricks. If I've got some skinny spinner stuck behind me on the single track, I'll just push a huge gear to the point of crawling up the hill and burn them out.
And when push gets to shove, I can run up hills faster than most of my competition can spin the bottom two or three gears on a MTB.
Just don't talk to me about the longer multi-mile climbs. I, uh.... gotta work on those some.

5'8'', weight bobs between 198 - 203. That's the five pound window I've been stuck in for quite awhile now.
I happen to enjoy hills, "Thank you sir, may I climb another?!?!?"

Somewhere between 5'8 and 5'9 here as of this morning 228 down from 265 in May. In Central Illinois not so many climbs but everything is rolling hills, so it is nothing for a 20 mile ride to have a few 1000 feet of climbing. When I started i hated hills with a passion, even the smallest ones had me huffing and puffing when i got to the top and 4 miles seemed like forever. And now, hills have become much easier and I dare to say this...but I am actually starting to enjoy the climb hehe.
