88-mile trip from the Boston area to the Connecticut border, by way of the lake with the longest name in the U.S.: Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg.

the lake is nothing spectacular, but the name sure is! anyway, it was a pretty rough ride with a mile of vertical climbing. my riding buddy hadn't been out in a couple of months, so he had to walk up most of the hills & slowed us down quite a bit. We did eventually get to CT though:

109 is great where there are shoulders. Where not, the potholes and motorists make it a bit of a nightmare. Bu t 126 is lovely
