I don't know why Sayre and Historian; but every time I picture you guys I think about that scene in "Rocky" where he is running and the kids and townspeople are cheering him on until he reaches the top of the steps and pumps his fists in the air.

So how do you guys manage to ride up those steps anyways ;-)

I've run up them. I reached the top, but the photo was snapped on the way back down.

Still, while it was nice to go up the iconic steps, I'm prouder of other climbs, such as my August summit of Mount Tom:

I think I need to make a side trip to the Art Museum steps the next time I get to Philly. I want another shot at that "victory" photo. ;-)

Look, if I don't get bent out of shape over scoliosis jokes, you can take the occasional fat jab. Oh, and BTW, I was 400 pounds too, and looked like a balloon.

Let me know when you want to go. I've not been to Philadelphia in over a year.

That's some vertical Sayre. You're pretty athletic for a big guy. You're probably 170 or so and have a sumo suit on under those clothes so you could get your picture in the paper. Very clever.

Would you believe that's not the first time I've heard that?

Back when I was in college, I got really addicted to DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). So much so that I even competed a bit locally. Well once upon a time, I was "pwning" some "noob" and after I completely humiliated the poor schmuck, (Healing Visions -Angelic Mix, btw), some guy followed me out of the arcade and confronted me. He wanted to know how I could do something like that. I said, "Do something like what?", and he said, "Dress like a fat guy and humiliate people at DDR!" I just looked at him funny, lifted up my shirt and said "I AM A FAT GUY."

I was once challenged at my gym. "You had to have surgery to lose weight so fast!" I was told. To shut the guy up I took off my shirt and asked him to point out the scar. He shut up. :-)
